I watched a lot of movies thanks to the.. "great" day I had yesterday... #@&$(@$&.. Really need to get my mind of some hurtful things and so I put on the old Cds and DVDs.. and the journey begins.. badaboom...

the stepford wives

it is a novel by ira levin. it features nicole kidman and matthew broderick as its main casts. I never thought i would watch this because the title resembles something like The Desperate Housewives which is really not my kind of thing. But after watching this particular movie, I found it rather interesting. the concept and all. And the fact that it is a remake of a 1975 movie was totally cool cause, they already thought of all these robotics in 1975. Neat! Although this movie was about satisfying men's desire for a perfect wife, it also hides an impression of true love and compassion towards ones partner no matter how horrid they could be.

amazingly beautiful and comedic. i laughed my hearts out. And it cured the heartache I was having at the moment. Very very nice approach to different concepts of love from different perspectives. The good and the bad. The longing and the waiting. The romance and the heartache. Well, love isn't all butterflies and lollipops, i keep telling that to myself and swallow the real truth. Some people would do anything for love, and some just don't give a shit! urgh..

Thai seafood supreme pan pizza & Hawaiian chicken crusty crust

that was my FIRST RAMADHAN buka puasa meal. well, of course i did not finish them all. had only a few slices and a few more during sahur this morning. brought some to the office today for berbuka today. we have a microwave in the office pantry. could heat it up later.

the thing is..

they dont really taste good.. hm.. not at all..

when i picked it up, it was cold.. brought it home, the topping were barely there.. there were only two..i repeat TWO squids slice on my seafood pizza.. walao.. and the crusty crust tasted more like BURNT crust to me.. it wasn't crusty at all.. it was very hard for me to chew.. i think they over cooked it.. damn.. horrible meal..

but yes, i brought it to office.. i did.. for berbuke.. what other options do i have..

going to D****** for future pizza cravings.. this "famous pizzaria" really need to improve la.. sigh

my first try.. snow ice.. cust service rather blant i'd say.. i have to ask a lot to understand what the product is.. when i went into the shop, no one was being welcoming.. took me some time standing in front of the parlour to be noticed and talked to.. when i asked the salesperson, what is snow ice.. she went "it's snow ice".. i was like what the fuck la.. very very bad service.. VERY...

but the snow ice was okay i guess.. RM5.90 for a shaved mango ice topped with choc chip.. i would love to try other flavors.. but i might try to look for other branches.. the one in kemuning sucks in terms of customer service.. change your salesperson please..

staff transfered from south korea was here for 7 weeks

and

he is leaving this saturday.

his flight will be at 1130pm.

11 of us including yeong went for lunch together at secret recipe.

we had a great laugh but the food was bad for some.

i had fish and chips so it tasted nothing much but like fish and chips.

the others had all sorts of food, thai rice, spagethi meatballs, etc.

they all despise their food.

i didn't finish mine, yeong had some of my fish too.

we tapao some cakes for tea.

all in all it was a great lunch.

bidding yeong farewell.

he is a very nice guy, respectful towards ladies

but

his Korean accent sure made us laugh.

this is what i watch last night..

the hero Seung-ryong was invovled in a gas leak accident when he was a kid. His dad died while he survived but with cerebral damage. He is now in his 20's but he acts like an elementary school child. He always forget things but two things he never forgets is his childhood crush Ji-Ho and his responsibility to care for his younger sister, Ji-in.

Ji-ho, Ji-in, Sang-soo and hie-yeong all have issues in their lives but 'the fool' turned their world around and changed everybody's life without they even realising it.

a very very very sad and touching piece. It has the love side of it and the familial values too. I never cried as much for a movie after watching "a moment to remember" and "lagenda budak setan". But last night i was really sobbing and tears kept flowing . The fool has touched many hearts, including mine.

I reckon you to watch it too.

last night i watched the kung fu cyborg movie on my laptop..

the hero is alex fong..

i thought he looked like andy lau but this idea was laughed at by ah boon, kennix, jia jia and everyone at the lunch table.. haha

may be if you watch canton movies you would know too..

anyway, what strike me most about the movie (besides having the handsome alex fong on it) is one particular dialogue between K-1 and the girl he secretly loved, Zhou Sumei (Betty Sun).

Sumei asked "if a girl that you love ask you to go get a flower from a dangerous cliff that could kill you, would you do it"

K-1 (alex fong) answered no in the first place.

but later on as the movie reaches its climax, he told her "i won't risk my life picking that flower because i want to live.

i want to live so that my eyes can see when you have forgotten to wipe the crumbs from your lips.

so that my ears can hear when you're crying

so that my mouth can talk to you when you are sad.

so that my legs can run to bring you soup when you are sick

and it took of a heavy load of things that i do not wish to recall.
they made me smile, laugh and most importantly, they made me happy.

we had a great lunch.. pizza @ papa john, time square..
then we went and have a great time @ pavillion..
although the evening was rainy, to me it was alright..
it doesn't really matter how the weather is, it's the people you are with that matters..
big dinner @ ichiban boshi pavillion..

those were among the things that went into our tummies..

in addition to that, i manage to tapao the famous cupcakechic cupcakes @ pavillion.

i rather not say much but i expected something more fabulouso.. sigh* sorry..

another thing to note.. there's this white mini cooper being displayed.. fuh.. nicely done, man, that bloody car..

later that night, dropped by at kennix's place. her dad sent us to the office. we spent the whole night playing cards till i was rather sleepy. then we drove home.

i had a blast. felt so happy and uplifted. thanks buddies. you people are great!! let's do that again soon.. ~

i visited a pet shop recently in empire subang ~ i saw this really cute looking puppy ~ siberian husky ~ a colleague later told me that this breed is very hard to care in our weather ~ malaysian hot weather ~ because as the name applies "siberian" husky ~ they are of winter nature ~ and i suddenly feel the urge to blog cute dogs that i like ~
