at the time of crisis..~

1. what is on malaysians' minds when we're down with a crisis? be it personal, financial, national, work-related or whatever that concern us. and how do we deal with it?

2. earlier today, there was a terrible and time consuming accident that caused the least, 40minutes of being stuck in the jam. All the vehicles were stuck and can't move even an inch for both lanes were blocked by the two lorries that seems to have collided with each other or with the pavement. well, i am a little vague on the details.

3. i scanned around looking through my window to see the reactions or actions of the other drivers. some got out of their vehicles, a few with a mobile phone glued to their ear and some brought out cigarettes from their pockets. i sat in the passenger's side, took out my book that i have brought along and started reading it. yes, i was being ignorant of the current issue, but how would the fact of me leaving the car, help lessen the burden of all the angry and furious drivers who, for all you know, were late for dinner.

4. then, there she came, a middle-aged lady walked by our car, towards the back. signaling for the other cars to reverse and take another alternative route. i really admire what she did and thanks to her effort, after like 15minutes of honking here and there by impatient luxury car drivers who thought they drive the most expensive rides, we managed to get off the road and head to the highway to escap from the whole fiasco.

5. i bet people who drive big luxurious cars are at least, educated or have properly working brain cells, but they lack of manners and tolerance, that's for sure. well, not all perhaps. SOME. this particular guy, in what he thought his superb luxurious money can't buy 4 wheel drive, kept honking on another guy driving a white perdana, who seems to me, was having a hard time reversing and maneuvering the car. it could be a rented one which he rented for a day, to attend a meeting in KL.. may be he's not from around here.. all the possibilities.

6. yes, we are all under stress and we are all impatient malaysians at wits ends. but, come on, at these times of crisis, we should be more tolerant and helpful rather then being a rich brainless jerk. soothe others wounds, to soothe your own.

7. not only our driver's manners are as low as hell, we tolerate very little on the road and at time of crisis. Malaysians, learn some manners and tolerance, please.

i'm out
