they and them
they took your heart,
they placed it in theirs,
they tell you they love you,
above all that matters in life.
they look deep into your eyes,
they tell you the story of their life,
they made you belief,
that you are their only one.
they took your hands and held it tight,
they promised to never let go,
they swore to take your hand in marriage,
to never be apart.
they linger around in your life,
long enough to get what they want,
and when they have gotten all they need,
they leave you,
and watch you die a slow death,
while they rejoice in their victory,
and moving on to another heart.

with a big hole in your chest,
that's where your heart used to be,
but they took it away,
when you fell in love with them,
and they crushed it into a gazillion pieces.
you lay there in the rain,
bleeding profusely,
you have given your everything,
and when they left,
you are left with nothing.
you lay there in the rain,
you still are..
will the rain water fill the hole in your chest,
could there be a new heart for you,
for what?
to be taken away from you all over again?
you lay there in the rain,
but will the rain erase what have been done upon you,
the sins that you have,
tainted by them onto you,
the sins that will never leave your memory.
but do they care?
do they give a damn?
they've got what they wanted
and now they leave
